Definition
Identifies the ASCED levels of education associated with a program of study.
Context
It identifies the number of students in a level of education.
Guidelines
The Program level of education is based on the ASCED level of education. ASCED has a three-tiered hierarchical structure: broad fields, narrow fields and detailed fields. Where a qualification is specified in a national training package, the Program level of education must be consistent with the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) level embedded in the training package qualification code listed on the National Training Register. Note that if submitting a program that is listed on the National Training Register, this data is being supplemented with data provided by ABS.
