Training contract identifier | VET Information Standard

Definition

This identifier uniquely identifies an apprentice or trainee training contract registered with a training authority. A training contract is a contractual agreement between a student and an employer and indicates the terms of experiential training the student is to undertake.

Context

This is required to uniquely identify a training contract.

Guidelines

This is only used where the training activity in a subject (unit of competency or module) relates to a client undertaking an apprenticeship or traineeship under a registered apprenticeship/traineeship training contract. This is assigned when the apprenticeship/traineeship training contract is registered as a means of identifying the apprenticeship/traineeship training contract. This identifier can be sourced from the registering state/territory training authority. This forms a dual key with the client identifier apprenticeships.

BRDG00181	Training contract identifier is mandatory when training relationship type equals 'enrolment in a traineeship' or 'enrolment in an apprenticeship' once the program enrolment's student status is 'concluded'. BRDG00195	Training contract identifier must contain at least one number.	This program enrolment record is associated with a training contract and therefore at least one number must be provided in the Training contract identifier.
