Assigned by the training organisation and uniquely distinguishes an individual in a training organisation.
Context
It is used for an analysis of a student's educational attainment while protecting a student's privacy.
Guidelines
A Student identifier is assigned by the training organisation as a means of uniquely identifying the student for record-keeping purposes. Training organisations are required to use the same Student identifier for an individual and not generate a different Student identifier every time an individual re-enrols. The Student identifier must be unique to the student and remain the same across all years and across all the subjects and programs undertaken by that individual. A Student identifier will usually be the student's internal student number. Note that unique student identifier number is not to be assigned to the student as the Student identifier. Leading/trailing spaces are not permitted.
