Definition
Uniquely identifies a program (qualification, course or skill set/structured study where associated subjects are grouped together), specialisations (stream, or pathway within a program), or a subject (a specific unit of competency in a national training package or a nationally accredited course unit or a training organisation module).
Context
It enables the analysis of data based on programs or subjects.
Guidelines
Where the program or subject is part of a training package qualification, training package skill set or national course, the Program or subject reference number must be the valid national code listed on the National Training Register. Programs or subjects that are not nationally recognised must not match any identifier code for any current or superseded/obsolete nationally recognised programs or subjects listed on Training.gov.au. Where the training is a specialisation, the specialisation code should be placed in this field.
