Definition

Specifies the qualification, course, or skill set by its level of recognition in the VET sector, including its non-VET type, if applicable.

Context

It allows an analysis of qualifications, courses, or skill sets by categorising them according to recognition and accreditation.

Guidelines

A skill set is defined as a single unit or combinations of units that link to a licence or regulatory requirement or are defined by industry need. The Program type Jurisdictionally recognised program/skill set must meet this definition to be used.

BRDG00097 Program type codes 'nationally accredited qualification', 'nationally recognised course - self-managed accreditation', or 'nationally recognised skill set' can only be reported by training organisations with a training organisation identifier on Training.gov.au. This program enrolment record is for accredited training with a training organisation not listed on Training.gov.au.
