VET Information Standard version 2.0.0 is now available

The latest version (2.0.0) of the Vocational Education and Training (VET) Information Standard is now available.

The VET Information Standard is the national data standard that:
 

  • defines what VET data is required to be collected by registered training organisations (RTOs) from students and provided to NCVER

  • replaces the Australian Vocational Education and Training Management Information Statistical Standard (AVETMISS) for the VET Provider Collection.

The new VET Information Standard version includes updates to disability classifications and descriptions.  It takes effect from 1 October 2026 and replaces version 1.0.0 released in July 2026.
